Repeat Prescriptions

Please note that prescription requests will take 48 working hours to process. If you have your prescription sent to a designated pharmacy, please allow additional time for this to be collected.

Telephone 0141 739 6666 and select Option 2

If you are on regular medication it may be possible to obtain a repeat prescription without having to see your GP each time. To arrange this please call the above number. This system is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Alternatively leave your request in the post box located at the main reception area. Repeat prescriptions cannot be dealt with while you wait or during a triage call. This is to ensure we offer the most effective service to all our patients.

Collecting Prescriptions

Please leave two working days before collecting your prescription or ask your local pharmacy to collect and fulfil the prescription for you.

In keeping with the Primary Care Trust policy, we cannot telephone prescription requests through to a pharmacy.

We are now offering online prescription ordering with VisionOnline.

Please sign up at the surgery if you would like to use this service as you will need to collect your username and password.

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip.

Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
