Welcome to Main Street Medical Centre

Main Street Medical Centre is a GP Practice based in the East End of Glasgow at Bridgeton Cross.

We are now on Social Media.

You can follow us on Facebook and Twitter for all up-to-date information on local services and health campaigns.
Please do not use Facebook or Twitter for appointment or prescription requests.

Main Street Medical Centre have successfully rolled out the first doses of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 immunisation to our patient groups aged 80 years and over, patients aged between 75-79 years of age and those currently on the Shielding register. We are pleased to start immunising these patients within the next few weeks for the second dose immunisation. The practice will be in touch with you shortly to organise an appointment.

Please note, that the practice is only immunising the patients mentioned above. We are not arranging appointments for any other patient, and patients should receive their appointment date and time from the National Booking System. If you have a query about your vaccination appointment, please contact the Scottish COVID-19 Vaccination Helpline on 0800 030 8013.

For further information on the COVID-19 vaccination, please visit NHSinform here.

Our very first patient was delighted to have been the first patient at the Practice to receive the COVID-19 immunisation and gave permission for her picture to be taken and used on our surgery website.

Main Street Medical Centre is currently restricting access for the safety of all patients and staff.

The practice remains open for all essential problems but on the advice of Health Protection Scotland, we have put in place a telephone triage system to review all requests for GP appointments. This will continue until further notice.

We ask that any individual who have symptoms such as a new continuous cough, fever and/or loss of or change in the sense of smell or taste to self-isolate for 10 days in line with national guidance. If you have developed symptoms (however mild), you can arrange to be tested by clicking this link here. You should remain at home until you get the result of your test, and follow the advice you will be given based on the result.

If you have either of these symptoms, please DO NOT attend the surgery.

If you are self-isolating, you do not need a note from the GP. Please visit and complete the online form. A copy of this will be sent to your e-mail.

If you do have coronavirus symptoms, please call NHS 24 on 111 as this should now be the first point of contact for all COVID-19 related symptoms, even during GP hours.

Please visit for up-to-date guidance and information.
